I have never been satisfied with simply looking at a destination on a map.
I wanted to know what was there, who lived there, what made it special, which places were worth seeing and what stories were hidden behind the famous landmarks.
That curiosity slowly turned into a passion for travel.
Like the great travelers who crossed borders long before modern airports and travel apps existed, I became fascinated by discovering the world one destination at a time. Ibn Battuta’s extraordinary journeys especially shaped the way I think about travel not as a checklist of countries, but as an opportunity to experience different people, cultures and places.
But traveling also taught me something else.
Finding useful destination information isn’t always easy.
You may find an article about a famous attraction on one website, a list of things to do on another, and practical travel information somewhere completely different.
